Leanne Warren

Leanne Warren is the Managing Partner of Leanne Warren & Associates, leading one of the largest and most successful specialist criminal law practices since 1995. Leanne has been practising as a criminal lawyer since 1986 and became a criminal law specialist in 1995. Previously Leanne was a partner in a specialist Criminal Law firm, Grace Warren Hale. In order to continue Leanne’s strong desire to provide her clients with the best representation at all times and strengthen the growth of the firm, she has now introduced two (2) partners to the firm in July 2010.

In addition, Leanne is a member of the Criminal Law Specialisation Advisory Committee and a former member of the Executive Criminal Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Leanne has extensive experience in defending a vast number of clients confronting allegations ranging from driving offences, theft, drug offences, sexual offences and murder to commercial crime and deception offences with an excellent success rate. Leanne has experience dealing with offences heard in the Children’s courts, Magistrates Courts, County, Supreme and High Courts. She also has many matters which are appeals heard in the Court of Appeal.

Leanne has a strong and loyal client base which assists in the pursuit of positive outcomes.

Tracey Gulli

Tracey Gulli has had the privilege of working for Leanne Warren & Associates since the establishment of the practice in 1995. As the Practice Manager of Leanne Warren & Associates she brings to the firm an extensive accounting background together with the knowledge of working in the legal industry for a major part of her working career. Tracey previously worked as a Business Analyst for a major legal practice management software company and is always proactive about moving with technology in order to provide the clients of Leanne Warren & Associates the best level of service.

Heather Cooper

HEATHER COOPER

LL.B, BComm

Heather completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Western Australia in 2009. She completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law and was admitted to legal practice in 2010.

Heather practised exclusively in criminal defence in Western Australia appearing for clients in all courts and jurisdictions for all types of criminal matters. Heather completed postgraduate studies in Criminal Justice and tutored university students in Criminal Law at the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University. Heather joined the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in late 2013 to broaden her legal experience.

Prior to joining Leanne Warren and Associates in 2016, Heather worked for ASIC in Melbourne, and was a volunteer for the National Youth Children’s Legal Centre providing criminal legal advice through the lawmail service.

Heather is a current “Associate” at Leanne Warren & Associates, she is passionate about criminal law and is a hardworking and dedicated advocate.

AlexMcLure

ALEXANDRA MCLURE

JD, LL.B

Alex completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne in 2013 and was admitted to legal practice in 2014. During her studies she volunteered at the Association for Employees with Disability where she assisted clients who had suffered bullying or unfair treatment at their workplace.

Since her admission, Alex has practiced exclusively in Criminal Law. As an employee of a leading Criminal Law firm in the CBD she prepared and appeared in a wide variety of matters at the Magistrates’ and County Courts. She also acted for interstate clients.

Since joining Leanne Warren and Associates in 2017, Alex continues to be a passionate and determined advocate. She is dedicated to achieving the best possible result for each of her clients.

ashlea scroop

ASHLEA SCROOP

JD, LL.B

Ashlea completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne in 2015.  She subsequently completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law and was admitted to legal practice.

During her studies Ashlea was employed as a legal assistant and completed work experience with a criminal law firm. She was also employed by a trial barrister for a period of 3 years. This further fuelled her passion for criminal law.

Since her admission, Ashlea has worked with the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service and then joined Leanne Warren & Associates in 2016 as Leanne Warren’s paralegal. Ashlea has gained well-rounded and intense experience in all criminal matters and progressed her career as a solicitor advocate.

Ashlea is an excellent advocate and regularly appears in metropolitan and regional jurisdictions across Victoria.

Ashlea continues to be hardworking, passionate and committed to achieving the best results for her client’s interests.

nicole allison

NICOLE ALLISON

LL.B (Hons)

Nicole completed her Bachelor of Laws with Honours at Deakin University in 2013 and was admitted to legal practice in 2014. During her studies Nicole worked as an intern in London before returning to Melbourne to work as a legal secretary at a Criminal Law firm in the CBD.

Since her admission in 2014, Nicole has practiced exclusively in Criminal Law. As an employee of a well-known Criminal Law firm in the CBD Nicole appeared daily as a solicitor advocate in a wide range of criminal matters and jurisdictions including the Magistrates Court and County Court.

Since joining Leanne Warren and Associates in 2017, Nicole continues to be a determined and passionate advocate committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for each of her clients.
